How To Remove Gel Nail Polish Without Ruining The Nail Bed

T here are many advantages of a gel manicure, a gel manicure means the nail is free from any of those unwanted chips, and leaves the nails looking glossy for 2 or more weeks. Although, there is a real struggle when trying to take them off, without ruining the nail bed. So, we are giving you the top tips to help you remove the gel or polish without causing any damage. There are various types of gel nails, a few of these are

Gel - which is applied using a brush onto the nail in three stages: a base coat, polish colour and topcoat. In-between each stage it’s cured under an LED or UV lamp.

Acrylic - uses artificial nails which are added to the tips using liquid acrylic and powder. They’re then smoothed over with the liquid and filed to the desired length.

 
 

There are various methods you can use to take the nail polish/gel off without the worry of leaving any damage to the nail bed.

 
 

Soak Off Gel Nail Polish

This method is quite lengthy and does require a lot of work, but it is worth it in terms of leaving the nail bed healthy. Follow these steps and you can’t go wrong.


Step 1

Fill a bowl with warm water. Then follow by taking a smaller bowl and fill it with Acetone Free Remover before placing it inside the large bowl.


Step 2

While the acetone warms up, use Nail File - Lux Buffer on the surface of the nails to break the bond. Then you should place the nails in the acetone and allow them to soak for around 15 minutes.


Step 3

Gently loosen the gel on the corners of your nails until it’s removed completely.


Step 4

Follow up with a substantial amount of Cuticle oil.
